On June 1, 2026, Pennichuck Water Works, Inc. (PWW) filed a petition to increase its rates for water service. As part of that petition, PWW requested that the Commission set temporary rates during the pendency of this rate case pursuant to RSA 378:27. On September 25, 2026, PWW received Order No. 28,253 (the “Order”) setting temporary rates at current by the New Hampshire Public Utility Commission (“Commission”) effective July 2, 2026 in Docket No. DW26-027. On February 13, 2026, Pennichuck Water Works, Inc. (PWW) filed a petition for its annual Qualified Capital Project Adjustment Charge (QCPAC). In support of its petition, PWW filed testimony of its employees Erin Holmes and Kayla Dutton and related attachments. On September 15, 2026, PWW received Order Nisi No. 28, 250 (the “Order”) approving the QCPAC petition by the New Hampshire Public Utility Commission (“Commission”) effective October 15, 2026 in Docket No. DW26-007. DW26-027 Pennichuck Water Works Request for Change in Rates: Order Opening and Investigation and Suspending Rates Issued

In this order, the Commission, opened an investigation into Pennichuck Water Works, Inc.’s (PWW) filed rate schedules, and, among other things, suspended the taking effect of PWW’s filed rate schedules until June 22, 2027; scheduled a prehearing and technical session for July 16, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at the Commission’s offices at 21 South Fruit Street, Concord, NH 03301; set a deadline of July 1, 2026 for petitions for intervention; set a deadline of July 10, 2026 for any objections to such petitions; and ordered PWW to post the Commission’s order on PWW’s website.

DW26-027 Rate Increase Sought – PENNICHUCK WATER WORKS, INC. 

Pennichuck Water Works, Inc. (PWW) has filed rate schedules with the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission (Commission) to increase its rates for all customer classes, including GM-Volumetric, GM-Multi-family-Volumetric, GM-Mixed-Use-Volumetric, and Fire Protection, and portions of special contracts. PWW seeks an overall increase of about 21.34%, although the rate increase to each individual rate class may differ. PWW seeks this increase based on increased operating expenses as well as investments in its plant and treatment systems to ensure continued compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act.

DW25-069 PENNICHUCK WATER WORKS, INC., Petition for Approval of Financing to Amend the PFAS Remediation Grant and Loan for Upgrades to the Nashua Water Treatment Facility

On October 21, 2025, Pennichuck Water Works, Inc. (PWW) filed a petition for approval of PFAS remediation loan financing to amend the existing loan amount not to exceed $17,500,000 for upgrades to PWW’s water treatment facility. In support of its petition, PWW filed testimony of its employee Erin Holmes and related attachments. On February 5, 2026, PWW received Order Nisi No. 28, 205 (the “Order”) approving the PFAS remediation loan financing petition by the New Hampshire Public Utility Commission (“Commission”) effective February 23, 2026 in Docket No. DW25-069.
